Tanneron, a gem nestled in Pays de Fayence, renowned for its “yellow forests,” will be our floral stage. In this region, at kilometer 112 of the Route du Mimosa, an adventure unfolds, surrounded by treasures like Bormes-Les-Mimosas, Rayol-Canadel-Sur-Mer, Sainte-Maxime, Saint-Raphaël, Mandelieu-La-Napoule, Pégomas, and Grasse.

From December to March, the largest mimosa forest in Europe dons a yellow coat under a blue sky, as if nature decided to host a costume party to which everyone is invited. And where there’s a party, there’s a festive route with the Massif du Mimosa and the Crêtes de Tanneron.

Rest assured, no competition is planned, unless it’s to determine who can capture the most dazzling photo of this resplendent nature!

Each of our stops promises a visually exhilarating break:

• The Place de la Mairie offers a panorama of the Alpes-Maritimes from Grasse to the bay of Cannes. Anticipate breathtaking views that may leave you speechless!
• The Quartier des Carreiros provides a breathtaking view of the bay of Cannes and the Mediterranean Sea. A mandatory stop to savor local delicacies, as hiking tends to stimulate the appetite!
• The Notre-Dame de Peygros Church, perched atop the hill, offers a view stretching as far as Lake Saint-Cassien, Grasse, and the village of Tanneron. You might almost reach out to touch the clouds from these heights (or at least give it a try)! 

Surprises await you – mimosa and eucalyptus plantations, resembling a cascade of vibrant botanical confetti. And don’t forget the Chapel of Saint-Cassien-Des-Bois, where a wild swim could be the cherry (or rather, the mimosa flower) on the cake of this fragrant adventure!
